Maintenance Staff
MAINTENANCE STAFF
ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
The Maintenance staff serves under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. The primary responsibility of the Maintenance staff is to ensure the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment of the school as well as maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical and related systems.
EXPECTATIONS:
12 months per year
Nights and weekends as needed
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Specific accountabilities shall include, but not limited to:
Knowledge of the mission and philosophy of Notre Dame College Prep and support in incorporating and communicating its vision.
Performing maintenance as required, including emergency repair services as necessary.
Cleaning and maintenance of all boilers and other major equipment.
Regulating heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems to provide temperature appropriate to the season and to ensure economical usage of fuel, water, and electricity.
Executing necessary painting and general repairs to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, windows, and mechanical areas.
Assisting in basic remodeling and renovation work.
Upkeep of school grounds and snow removal.
Setting up and tearing down of equipment during special events (i.e. graduation, conferences, concerts, etc.).
Performing all other assignments as directed.
Continued professional development.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High school degree or equivalent.
At least three to five years of professional experience and/or relevant experience in another industry or field.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and strong attention to detail.
Creative and resourceful self-starter with proven ability to initiate and follow through on assignments and projects.
Experience working in a school is a plus, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
