DescriptionOur client, a global manufacturer, is seeking an Accounting Associate to join their team in Suffolk, VA. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will support a broad range of general accounting functions, including purchase order processing, inventory management, and invoicing. They're seeking someone with a general accounting background who is eager to expand their skill set. Responsibilities• Enter accounts payable data in SAP• Review A/P statements• Maintain positive vendor relationships• Prepare weekly A/P checks and submit for Controller approval• Prepare bank deposits and post cash receipts in SAP• Generate customer invoices in SAP• Post inventory purchase orders• Ensure broker copies of invoices are sorted and sent accurately and on time• Maintain customer balances and follow up on unpaid invoices• Ensure company records and files are accurate and well-organizedAccounting Associate (2 yrs. general accounting exp. req.) Qualifications• 2 years of general accounting experience required• Understanding of GAAP required
