Senior Accountant

DescriptionJOB SUMMARYThe Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting the CFO with controlling the overall accounting operations of the organization, which encompasses full-cycle general ledger accounting, the production of accurate and timely financial statements and other financial reports, the maintenance of adequate accounting systems and ensuring a comprehensive set of compliant internal controls for this international enterprise. This role is also responsible with assisting the CFO with the Order to Cash process and treasury management. The Senior Accountant will lead the annual financial audit and tax return preparation process.General ResponsibilitiesGeneral AccountingAssists the CFO in overseeing general accounting operations by controlling, recording and verifying financial transactions and ensuring compliance with GAAPPrepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established month-end close scheduleMaintain and update the close calendar and distribute to the team on a monthly basisMaintain account reconciliations for all required balance sheet accountsManage full-cycle accounting and month-end and year-end close process Lead the annual financial audit process and tax preparationEnsure the proper recordation and accrual of the payroll journal entry, including ensuring bonuses, payroll taxes, benefits etc. are properly accounted for and accrued. Ensure compliance with company’s capitalization policy Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and proceduresLead organizer, preparer and filer of all Sales and Use Tax Filings for the various states, including working with any third-party organizations to determine nexus and setup/maintain Sales and Use Tax Accounts, Payroll Withholding Accounts and State Unemployment AccountsInternational AccountingTransfer Price & Inter-Company LicensingIntercompany accounting, consolidation, and Fx ReportingVAT Reporting & Foreign Tax ComplianceUK/EU Audit Compliance with outside accounting firmRequirementsJOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field requiredMBA or CPA preferred but not required Experience·Minimum 3 to 7 years’ overall professional experience in full-cycle accounting Experience in audit and tax reporting requiredInternational accounting and foreign currency reporting desiredExperience in manufacturing, chemicals, industrial products, or private equity-backed environments strongly preferredProficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software application/reporting including experience and knowledge of setting up, maintaining and designing reports in ERP.Strong analytical skill with fine attention to detail, precision and accuracy.Ability and willingness to cross-train among various tasks across the Finance and Accounting functional group for contingency purposes.
