Proposal Specialist

Department: MarketingLocation: Tempe, AZ DescriptionWilson Engineers has an exciting opportunity for a full-time, experienced Proposal Specialist. Our ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of previous experience working for an engineering, architecture, or construction firm.This position requires 40 hours per week in our Tempe office and is responsible for proposal efforts and other marketing tasks in support of our branding and marketing strategies. We are seeking candidates who have strong graphic design, technical, communication, and organizational skills.Key ResponsibilitiesPursuits, Proposals, and SOQ's (80%)· In coordination with the Marketing Manager, helps coordinate project pursuits, manage pursuit processes, and follow quality procedures for document production for the full pursuit lifecycle, including interview preparation· Prepares, assists with, and tracks proposals, statements of qualifications, and other marketing collateral from concept through completion· Composes, edits, and creates collateral material and prepares staff resumes and project experience needed for proposals and SOQ’s using Adobe InDesign· Works with Project Managers and Technical Staff to coordinate responses to develop messaging and content for proposals· Complete technical tasks such as creating graphics, layout templates, proofreading, preparing review drafts, and final edits· Responsible for the timely production and quality of marketing deliverables and communicationsOther Marketing Tasks (20%)· Assist in helping with communications and ideas for marketing initiatives· Helps in the creation of content and graphics for digital and printed materials· Assists in the coordination of special events and conferencesSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseRequirements:· Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience· Not required but helpful is 2-5 years of experience in engineering, construction, architecture, or a similar industry· Must have advanced Recommended experience with executing competitive Proposals/SOQ’s· Advanced Proficiency experience in graphic design using Adobe InDesign· Experience in graphic design using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator· Advanced Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word· Have a passion for creating high-quality finished products· Creative thinker/problem-solver· Excellent communicator, both written and verbal· Strong organizational skillsBenefitsThe comprehensive benefits plan offered by Wilson Engineers exceeds industry standards, and is aimed at meeting each employee's personal and professional expectations.
