Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Shift Days Location Simtec Description The Applications Support Technician is responsible for supporting SIMTEC’s business applications, internal web platforms, databases, and end-user systems. This position ensures seamless daily operation of mission-critical applications used across Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Administrative functions. The role serves as a bridge between IT infrastructure and software users by providing hands-on troubleshooting, system configuration support, and technical guidance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of diagnosing issues across multiple technological layers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Job Responsibilities: 1. Application & User Support Provide daily support for business applications, including ERP, CRM, reporting tools, and internal web portals. Troubleshoot application errors, login or authentication issues, performance problems, and integration failures. Coordinate with software vendors, developers, or internal IT resources to resolve escalated issues. Support users with account setup, permission management, workflow questions, and general application use. Create and maintain user documentation, quick guides, and FAQs for common issues. 2. Web & Database Support Support internal web systems hosted on IIS, including intranet pages, dashboards, and reporting applications. Perform minor updates or maintenance to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or ASP.NET files as needed. Assist in testing new features and validating system patches or upgrades. Execute SQL or Oracle queries to validate data accuracy, support reporting efforts, or troubleshoot data-related issues. Monitor uptime and performance of web applications and coordinate maintenance activities. 3. Systems & Infrastructure Support Provide Tier 1–2 support for Windows desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Assist in managing Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD, and Intune environments. Support file shares, network connectivity, VPN access, and remote user configurations. Participate in software updates, data backups, security patching, and routine IT maintenance. Maintain accurate IT documentation, standard operating procedures, and asset inventory records.
