Bookkeeper

Finance BookkeeperKey Responsibilities:Record and verify daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.Assist in maintaining accurate general ledger entries.Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements.Support the preparation of financial reports for management review.Organize and maintain financial documentation and files.Assist with account reconciliations and variance analysis.Respond to internal financial inquiries as needed.Support the annual audit process by gathering required documentation.Collaborate to ensure compliance with accounting policies.Perform other related duties as assigned to support the finance function.RequirementsQualifications:Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.2+ years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience, preferably within a healthcare or medical environment.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and healthcare billing practices.Familiarity with medical insurance billing and coding practices is a plus.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Work Environment:The bookkeeper will work in an office setting.Physical Demands:Requires prolonged sitting, manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer for inputting data, telephone, and copy/fax machine.
