Assistant ManagerAs part of the Subway Team, you will focus on seven main things:Providing an excellent guest experienceEnsuring that great food is prepared and servedKeeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautifulControlling inventoryScheduling and supervising staffMaintaining standards of restaurant safety and securityBeing a team playerIn addition to the role of a shift manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating workAssisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successfulAssisting with product ordering and inventory as neededAs a Subway team member, you'll have access to:Brand partnership discountsScholarship opportunitiesOpportunity to earn university course creditsHands on career experience in a restaurant businessPrerequisites:Education: High school diploma or equivalentExperience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.Essential functions:Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable. Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized point of sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally. *You will receive training on your roles and responsibilities.
