In this role, you will play a vital part in protecting nature's most precious resource while helping the local community get to a better place.As a Wastewater Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of a state-of-the-art treatment facility. This is a direct-hire opportunity for a professional who enjoys working in an environment that is supportive, welcoming, and empowering.Key Responsibilities:- Monitor wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment manually and via SCADA automation.- Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and EPA standards.- Operate, maintain, and perform routine repairs on plant equipment, including preventive maintenance tasks.- Utilize maintenance software for work orders and maintain accurate operational records.- Perform general facility maintenance and ensure a safe, clean work environment.- Participate in shift work within a 24/7 operational environment.Required Skills & Qualifications:- High School Diploma or equivalent.- Valid Florida Driver's License.- Must possess a valid State of Florida Class B Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's license.- Ability to make sound process control decisions and strictly follow safety procedures.- Availability to work the three shifts (7 am–3 pm, 3 pm–11 pm, or 11 pm–7 am).- Successful candidates must complete a background check, physical, and drug screen.Compensation: $27–$32 per hour (DOE).Schedule: This is a 24/7 plant. There are 3 shifts: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, and 11pm-7am. You would have different days off depending on the shift. This position could be any shift.
