Civil Litigation attorney - Associate Level

Job Description What we're looking for:We need motivated civil litigators with 1-20 years of post-bar experience who are ready to roll up their sleeves and do real, meaningful work. Whether you're a junior associate eager to take depositions and own matters from day one, or a seasoned litigator who still loves the hands-on practice of law, we want to hear from you. Direct professional liability defense experience is a plus, but we're open to civil litigators from any practice area who are willing to move into the space.What you'll do:Handle defense-side civil litigation matters including professional liability defense, insurance coverage, business litigation, employment defense, real estate litigation, and construction defect casesTake ownership of your caseload — draft pleadings, manage discovery, prepare and argue motions, and drive cases through to resolutionRun depositions and take matters through mediation, arbitration, and trial preparationRepresent attorneys, law firms, accounting firms, business managers, directors and officers, brokers, and fiduciaries in complex defense mattersWork closely with senior attorneys and partners on sophisticated litigation involving legal malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, insurance bad faith, and complex commercial disputesContribute to a firm responsible for 58 published opinions, including decisions at the U.S. Supreme Court, Ninth Circuit, and California Supreme Court
