This role supports projects based out of Foth’s Mehoopany, Pennsylvania office, working with a long-term, stable client relationship that has been in place for many years. To maintain strong collaboration and client connection, the successful candidate will be onsite one to two days per week. Foth is committed to supporting this arrangement and will cover hotel accommodations for required onsite days, allowing us to consider qualified candidates who live outside the immediate area.Major Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrimary ResponsibilitiesLead and support the process mechanical design effort on projects Hold team members accountable to quality work productPerform QAQC of engineering and design deliverablesSupport business development and proposal activities which will include concepts, deliverables, effort hours, and estimated costInterface with clients and vendors on a regular basisWork in a manufacturing environment to gather field data and conduct field investigations when required for project workGenerate equipment specifications and construction documents/packagesWork as part of a collaborative project team with contractors and clientReview vendor submittals, lead design reviews, both internally and with vendor/clientTravel as required to client sites and vendors for work (up to 25%)Required QualificationsMinimum Skills & AbilitiesBachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or equivalent technical experience10+ years of process engineering experience Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams of engineers, designers, contractors, construction managers, vendors, and OEM’sRequired Previous Experience With The FollowingP&ID’sPreparation of installation, bid, and construction packagesProcess and utility system piping designPaper making technology (towel and tissue)Cost estimating (labor hours and capital cost estimates)Construction support and commissioning experiencePreferred Qualifications15+ years of industry-relevant experience Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 24 months of your start date Preferred Experience With The FollowingPaper making process operating knowledge (pulping through converting)Familiarity with 3D project executionIndustrial HVAC - specifically room air balancingPipe stress analysisThru air drying (TAD) or other advanced papermaking technologiesFamiliarity with PHA’s (Process Hazard Analysis)Yankee drying systems including steam and condensate Trim and broke handling Dust control and collection Process air Chemical additive and material handling system design Apply for this PositionBack to All Careers
