Mobile Detailing Crew Chief

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mobile Detailing Crew Chief to lead detailing crews in delivering high-quality mobile automotive detailing services. This is a 1099 independent contractor role, compensated through commission on services rendered, ideal for an entrepreneurial professional with strong leadership, customer service, and detailing expertise. The Crew Chief is responsible for overseeing on-site detailing operations, managing crew performance, ensuring service quality, and serving as the primary point of contact with customers. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise mobile detailing crews at job sites Perform and oversee interior and exterior vehicle detailing services Ensure all services meet company quality and customer satisfaction standards Manage workflow, time efficiency, and job completion Inspect completed work and address quality issues on-site Communicate professionally with customers regarding services and expectations Maintain detailing equipment, supplies, and mobile units Train and mentor crew members on detailing techniques and safety practices Uphold safety standards and proper use of chemicals and equipment Accurately report completed services for commission tracking Required Qualifications Proven experience in automotive detailing, preferably mobile detailing Leadership or supervisory experience in a service-based environment Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to manage a team and work independently Knowledge of detailing tools, products, and techniques Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed Preferred Qualifications Experience managing or leading a detailing crew Knowledge of commercial fleet or high-volume detailing Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to grow service volume Familiarity with scheduling or dispatch systems Valid Class C Driver's License Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to bend, kneel, lift, and perform repetitive motions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: On the road
