Title: Inventory ManagerLocation: Four Oaks, NCContract Term: 12+ Months Weekly 40.00 hours1st ShiftMust Have 3-5 years of WMS - Manhattan experience Lead a team of 30 associates, including 2 exempt associates and Wave Planners Minimum of 5 years Inventory Control/Distribution/Operations experienceGeneral SummaryThe Inventory Manager is a leader with the ability to assess the needs of an organization and takes action attending to improve them. They communicate and work with the corporate inventory teams and key distribution leadership on a daily basis to implement and enforce inventory control systems and processes. This role also works to progress employee performance and satisfaction in order to benefit the company’s goals and objectives. The Inventory Manager must be an excellent communicator, analyzer, capable of effective collaboration and delegation, as well as having strong leadership skills when managing projects.Duties And ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include: improving efficiencies, driving inventory reduction, implementing cost avoidance strategies across the supply chain through execution of effective inventory management policies. The Inventory Manager must have a solid understanding of Supply Chain processes and can quickly apply best practices to a complex Service Supply Chain. Ensure that the sites understand and execute the operational inventory strategy that drives profitable growth delivering exceptional service to our customers Effectively communicate with your team and ensure alignment and accountability amongst and between your sites and corporate. Create and manage internal processes that support excellent customer service outcomes. Effectively manage and deliver to inventory control/reduction targets provided. Must possess ability to recruit, develop, coach and mentor employees within high functioning teams. Ability to turn strategy into executable, operational actions and achieve desired KPI results. Expert knowledge of distribution operations, including order fulfillment, inventory control, shipping and receiving. Development and implementation of inventory analysis tools and metrics that will optimize service, cost and inventory levels. Lead and manage the daily operations of the domestic inventory management team. In conjunction with the business units will manage and maintain inventory levels to balance customer service expectations with total cost to serve objectives. Lead/participate in cross functional teams focused on optimizing/reducing key inventory levels throughout the supply network while meeting/exceeding customer service expectations. Partner with the manufacturing plants and other supply chain organizations to facilitate or implement cost reductions and supply chain efficiencies as it relates to inventory management. Communicate with management teams to direct and confirm execution of company processes.KSA Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities) Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills Excellent problem-solving abilities. Excellent reconciliation, problem resolution and conflict management skills. Must have strong analytical and interpersonal skills, including the capability to work across multiple functions.Scope of Responsibilities Key leadership position within the Inventory organization that will directly influence leadership team to drive strategies that will enable the achievement of KPI’s. Influence and execute continuous cost improvement projects that will drive favorable financial results. Create engagement and positive work environment for the leadership team and associates within the areas of responsibility.Sphere of Influence Direct influence at distribution center locations to drive continuous improvement for the NA Distribution key driver goals encompassing: customer, quality, people, and cost. Will hold inventory leaders at distribution centers accountable for the site distribution key driver goals.Impact on Business Results Accountable for achieving budgeted inventory goals at the distribution centers. Responsible for continuous improvement related to inventory accuracy. Ensure site is maintaining accuracy in the reporting of the site inventory assets. Achieve standardized inventory processes across all distribution centers.Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree Distribution, inventory, and lifecycle management required. Microsoft Office experience required (specifically MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook).Essential FunctionsTravel to other sites will be required.
