CNC Programmer Mill

*Job Summary* We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer Mill to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and executing CNC programs for milling operations on 5-axis CNC machines. Your expertise in CAD/CAM software, blueprint interpretation, and precision measurement will ensure the production of high-quality components with exceptional accuracy. Your proactive approach and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and continuous improvement across our machining processes. *Duties* * Develop and write CNC programs for milling machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD to produce complex parts with precision. * Set up CNC milling machines, including tool selection, tooling setup, and fixture installation, ensuring optimal machining conditions. * Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications to accurately translate design intent into machine instructions. * Operate and program 5-axis CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, ensuring efficient machining processes aligned with lean manufacturing principles. * Conduct precision measurements using bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments to verify part quality against specifications. * Troubleshoot machining issues related to geometry, tooling, or programming errors; implement corrective actions swiftly to minimize downtime. * Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize machining processes, improve cycle times, and enhance product quality through continuous improvement initiatives. *Qualifications* * Proven experience programming CNC milling machines, particularly 5-axis CNC machines, with a strong understanding of CNC tooling and machining tool setup. * Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD and CAM programming tools for efficient CNC programming workflows. * Familiarity with Fanuc controls and other common CNC controller systems used in modern manufacturing environments. * Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and schematic analysis for accurate part fabrication. * Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in metal machining, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and the use of precision measurement instruments like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines. * Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficient workflows and waste reduction. * Ability to interpret engineering schematics and schematics related to CNC tooling and geometry specifications. * Excellent math skills necessary for precise measurement calculations and program adjustments.
