Network/Systems Architect (Remote)
Overview: GovCIO is seeking a Solution Architect to join the Health Technology Management Services (HTMS) team. The selected candidate will provide contracted support to the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information and Technology. The Solution Architect will document current state architectures and develop solution architectures. The ideal candidate understands data architectures, challenges of system interoperability and understands project and program management. The environment is dynamic and demanding, with evolving client needs; flexibility and a forward-thinking mindset are essential for success.This role is a fully remote position within the United States with core hours of operation from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM ET. Responsibilities: Quickly develop a holistic view of the organization’s current IT architecture, business operations, in-flight technology modernization initiatives and future plansBuild a trusted advisory relationship with the clientBuild/augment technology roadmaps and runways that align with higher organizational strategies and visionDirect interface with users/stakeholders to determine needsManage and track technical data across products and teams for easy inquiry and in support of data callsSupport and defend the Intake process for new work and change requestsLeverage GovCIO resources across programsMonitor/interpret technology memos/policies/directives from higher leadership and recommend approachesCommunicate and advocate for alternative viewpoints with clarity and diplomacyPropose effective architectural solutions in multiple technical environments. Experience architecting in complex systems of systems with system-to-system interaction, and within parameters of reusing some components in an overall solution. Solutions are highly innovative and may have critical impactExperience with architectural care and feeding of applications that are in the maintenance phase in addition to architecting new solutions. Qualifications: Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in: Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline 15 years of related experience 10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for educationExpert-level knowledge and highly innovative problem-solvingExperience in a Healthcare or Healthcare Insurance environmentAbility to meet deadlines, including short-notice requestsWorks well in a team environmentDetail-oriented and thoroughExcellent communicator who garners trust through transparencyAbility to build collaborative relationships with diverse teamsPreferred Skills and ExperienceExperience supporting or leading within the Veterans Affair Office of Information Technology, Veterans Benefits Administration, and/or Veterans Health Administration is a plus Experience with x12 Healthcare Insurance Transaction StandardsProject Management ExperienceData and Systems Interoperability Architecture Experience SAFe certified and/or experience in a scaled agile environmentExperience in the design of enterprise technologyExperience in developing future state architectureExperience in researching and documenting as-is architecturesOver 5 years’ experience as a technical lead or systems or solutions architectJira experienceClearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance Posted Salary Range: USD $140,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.
