*This role is onsite in Newport News, Virginia*Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking skilled Machinists to support an industrial service and repair organization specializing in large-scale heat and cooling systems. This individual will work in a machine shop environment focused on manual machining, repair, and refurbishment of industrial components used across refineries, paper mills, and oil & gas facilities.Required Skills & Experience• Perform repair work on equipment supporting boilers, chillers, oilers, and other large industrial heat/cool systems• Participate in hands-on training focused on older equipment, safety practices, and preventative maintenance• Collaborate with machinists, valve technicians, and supervisors to meet production goals• Attend regular team meetings and contribute to production planning and agendas• Work independently while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standardsNice to Have Skills & ExperienceCandidates with experience from the following environments tend to be successful:• Industrial machine shops• Automotive or electric motor repair• Large manufacturing facilities• Shipyards or heavy industrial operations
