Human Resources Coordinator
Job Summary:This is to temporarily fill a role as an Hourly Personnel Coordinator, reporting to the Manager of Employee Relations.The role has responsibilities that include coordinating hourly transactions for hourly employees including:Responsible for hourly transactions and tracking manpower planning using an internal databaseInput transactions for hourly records in a timely fashionCreate and maintain records, including ensuring they are audit-compliantSupport the Chicago Assembly Plant HR teamSupport hourly personnel recruiting and hiring, as necessaryOnboard of new hire employees and create personnel jackets and profilesSupport manpower planning processes, including hiring, layoffs, unemployment, etc.Handle requests and inquiries from Ford's legal and retirement divisionsEncourage an effective, inclusive work environment / culture and relationships, balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company goals and valuesSkills Required:Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft WordSkills Preferred:Analytical skills, Labor RelationsExperience Required:5+ years of ADVANCED experience with Microsoft office tools, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, formulas, pivot tables, etc.)Experience working with very large amounts of data / data entry (the plant has 4,500 employees)Experience Preferred:Experience working with union in manufacturing environment with daily interactions with union staff, hourly employees and leadershipExperience with Oracle's Human Capital Management (HCM) systemEducation Required:High School Diploma / GEDEducation Preferred:Associate DegreeAdditional Information:This position requires a person who has strong organizational skills, and the ability to deal with large amounts of data, as our plant has over 4,300 hourly employees.We also want someone who can work quickly and efficiently through the data, as there are often quick turnaround requests for data.Work is ONSITE in a manufacturing environment.The Plant's address is 12600 S. Torrence Ave., Chicago 60633.There may be times when this role may work a holiday or nights/weekends, as assigned.
