Maternal-Fetal Medicine – No Weekends | No Holidays | Light CallUniversity Health – San AntonioUniversity Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to join our growing Women's Service Line in San Antonio, Texas. This is a full-time, employed opportunity with a primary focus on outpatient high-risk obstetric care, supporting two new community hospitals—Palo Alto Hospital and Retama Hospital—both scheduled to open in 2027. These state-of-the-art facilities are designed to expand access to high-quality care across the region while remaining closely integrated with the system's tertiary care center. Learn more at the University Health website.This role will primarily involve outpatient management of high-risk pregnancies, with inpatient responsibilities and complex cases supported by University Health's main Labor & Delivery unit. The position offers a predictable weekday schedule (Monday–Friday, daytime hours) with no routine weekend or holiday clinical responsibilities. Call coverage is shared and primarily consultative, ensuring appropriate triage and transfer of higher-acuity patients to the main campus, resulting in a relatively light call burden.Position Highlights:No weekends, no holidays, light callPractice across new community hospital settings with strong tertiary supportComprehensive maternal-fetal medicine services, including preconception counseling through deliveryStrong referral base of 80+ PCPsManagement of high-risk and medically complex obstetric patients (e.g., hypertensive disorders, diabetes, cardiac, renal, autoimmune, and other comorbidities)Perform advanced procedures such as detailed ultrasound, amniocentesis, cervical cerclage, and management of multiple gestationsAccess to advanced diagnostic and fetal evaluation technologiesThe new Retama and Palo Alto campuses represent a major expansion of University Health's commitment to bringing high-quality care closer to the rapidly growing Northeast and Southern corridors of the San Antonio region.
