Allegheny Health NetworkThis full time position will work nights M-F.General OverviewThis job provides support for staff and patient care within the assigned imaging department.Essential ResponsibilitiesTransports patients to and from clinical areas and verifies patient identity according to policies and procedures. Assists technologists with preparing patients for procedures. (30%)Performs post-procedural duties including patient discharge, room clean up and restocking supplies. Assists with inventory control. (30%)Assists technologists with delivering and retrieving patient reports/imaging, entering data, in electronic medical records, import and export through appropriate means and methods. (20%)Provides nonclinical support to the department as necessary. (20%)Any other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimumHigh school diploma or GED; or one to three months' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.CPR American Heart AssociationAct 34 Criminal Background Clearance CertificateAct 33 Child Abuse Clearance CertificateAct 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance CertificatePreferred1 year experience in medical office or imaging office setting.The job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this job title.
