Overview
This position is responsible for driving company vehicles, hauling trailers, and ensuring materials are picked up, loaded, and delivered to job sites on time. You will support daily field operations by keeping crews supplied, removing debris when needed, and maintaining clean, reliable equipment. The role requires confident trailer handling, physical strength, and consistent communication with project managers and site leads. This job is essential to keeping projects running efficiently and without delays.
Duties
Safely operate a 3/4-ton truck and pull dump and material trailers
Load, transport, and deliver materials to job sites across Southeast Wisconsin
Pick up supplies, return unused materials, and dispose of debris when required
Back trailers into tight areas and active job sites with accuracy
Lift and move heavy materials during loading and unloading
Keep company vehicles, trailers, and equipment clean and organized
Perform basic daily vehicle checks including fluids, tires, and lights
Report any mechanical issues immediately
Communicate clearly with project managers and site leads about delivery timing
Maintain simple delivery logs, mileage tracking, and fuel records
Support occasional warehouse runs or special deliveries as needed
Follow all company safety procedures and traffic regulations
Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL not required)
Experience driving trucks with trailers, including backing and maneuvering
Able to lift 50–80 lbs consistently
Reliable, punctual, and able to stay on task without supervision
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Comfortable working on active construction sites
Basic understanding of vehicle care and maintenance
Able to use a phone or tablet for communication and documentation
Previous experience in construction, roofing, or material handling is a plus
