Cafe Team Lead - Sioux City

Job Description Do you love good food, great people, and working in a fun welcoming space? We're looking for an energetic, organized, and compassionate Café Team Lead to help run the Goodwill Café! Goodwill of the Great Plains strives to make employee compensation performance-based, competitive to organizations with similar missions, and commensurate for the individual's level of responsibility.Responsibilities:Lead café operations and support team members during shiftsPerform grocery shopping and ensure timely stocking of ingredients and suppliesMaintain accurate inventory levels and track usage of food and suppliesPlan menus and assist with food preparation and presentationProvide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptlyMonitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage practicesMaintain compliance with all applicable health, sanitation, and food safety regulations.Ensure safe food handling, preparation, storage, and cleaning practices are consistently followed.Conduct routine cleaning and sanitation procedures for kitchen and café areas.Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or incidents promptlyWork collaboratively with Job Coaches to train, guide, and support individuals servedFoster a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all team membersDelegate tasks appropriately based on individual abilities and support needsSupport skill development and encourage independence among individuals servedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum of two years previous experience in food service, café, restaurant, or kitchen operations.Prior leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.Must pass acceptable criminal and dependent adult/child abuse background checks.Must have valid drivers' license, and proof of personal vehicle insurance.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Basic cooking and food prep skills.Experience with inventory purchasing and trackingKnowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment.Patient, supportive, and adaptable leadership styleStrong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.Ability to lead, motivate, and train staff.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.While the benefits are great, Goodwill's mission is really at the heart of all we do.
