Job Description Job Title: Packager/OperatorJob DescriptionIn this role, you will collaborate closely with 2-5 team members on a Roll Forming machine to efficiently package finished materials such as metal shingles, siding, and gutters. Each machine is operated by a Machine Operator II, and you will join a team of 2-5 Packagers (Machine Operator I) to ensure the products are free from manufacturing defects through visual quality checks.ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high attention to detail.Perform tasks such as making boxes, packaging, palletizing, and moving products.Utilize power tools such as drills, staple guns, and pneumatic tools comfortably.Learn and operate multiple machines while working with different teams daily.Essential SkillsPackaging and production experience.Strong attention to detail.Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment.Ability to work well with others.Machine operation and quality check skills.General labor and packing skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications6+ months experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Mechanically inclined.Experience with hand and power tools.Basic math skills including ability to work with fractions and decimals.Ability to read and understand tape measures and calculators.Proficiency in Spanish and English is advantageous.Why Work Here?Enjoy a robust 401k plan with up to a 15% match based on company performance, including a 5% automatic match and up to an additional 10% through profit sharing. Expect exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and heat, with proper PPE and safety training provided. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The facility is not temperature controlled, with open doors in the summer, and the noise level is typically loud.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkins, MN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
