DIRECT HIRE: An awesome opportunity for an experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join a dynamic team.Salary: $43hr + OTBenefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, holidaysRole & Responsibilities: Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environmentUse effective verbal and written communication skillsOperate and inspect vehicles, machines or heavy equipment to diagnose repairsDiagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devicesSafely dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using small truck crane, hoists and hand toolsTroubleshoot, rewire and or repair electrical systemsResearch, order, and maintain parts inventory for services and repairsTest mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specificationsRead and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawingsAs needed, assist vehicle and equipment operators in completing daily equipment inspections prior to each use; ensure safety policies concerning equipment operationHave an understanding of FMSCA DOT Compliance requirements for vehicles and equipmentAssure that equipment arriving and leaving the project is Job‐ready (Turnkey) for the next assignmentIdentify and assess improvement opportunities and participate in continuous improvement effortsReport all accidents and near misses; participate in the investigation process as neededPreferred Qualifications: Ability and willingness to travel as needed to multiple projects in multiple statesAt least 5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Technician with a strong working knowledge of mechanics for 18-wheeler trucks and other large diesel equipmentKnowledge of Solar Project based equipmentMust have working knowledge of commercial construction equipment, machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceUnrestricted driver's license and clean MVRMust possess basic tools such as impacts, pneumatic or battery-operated drivers, wrenches and sockets up to 2"Welding ability and knowledge with Torch, Stick, Mig, Tig and ARCMust be at least 21 years of agePosition will require an up-to-date possession or ability to obtain DOT(Non-CDL) Medical CardPosition may require the possession of or obtaining Class A CDL (within 12 months of hire)Proficient computer analytical skills using MSOffice and various other programsAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected)Physical Demands: Ability to move, lift or carry items up to 50 lbs.Flexibility and full range of motion with repetitive movementAbility to travel, drive or perform up to 11 hours per day when requiredWork Environment: Construction Project, maybe remote at times based on locationRequires working or exposure to adverse climate conditions such as hot, cold, dusty, rainy, snowWorking around moving construction equipmentWorking in bright or low lighting conditionsOnce you apply, please text "HEDM" to 904-712-6140 for a faster reply.INDHPowered by JazzHR
