CPA for Wealth Management Firm

We're representing one of our clients, a boutique financial planning and wealth management firm based in West Lafayette, Indiana, which is looking to add an accounting and tax planning side to its business. The firm has 300+ families who value long-term relationships over transaction volume. There's no revolving door. No partner churn. Why You Should Consider This Role You've spent years grinding through 80-hour tax seasons, managing the relentless cycle of client acquisition while drowning in compliance work. The Role: Strategic Tax Planning, Not Just Returns You'll work with established, quality clients on meaningful tax strategy—not high-volume grunt work. Your focus: Integrate tax planning into comprehensive financial strategies for 200+ returns annually (achievable during normal business hours) Structure tax-efficient investment strategies: tax-loss harvesting, Roth conversions, RMD sequencing, Social Security optimization Guide next-generation wealth transfer and succession planning for entrepreneurial clients with closely held businesses Communicate proactively with clients on planning deadlines, code changes, and strategic opportunities—building relationships, not scrambling for survival Partner with our wealth management team to deliver cohesive, tax-efficient plans that actually work The Practical Reality Hours: 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday. Seasonal flex hours only during tax season—not year-round. Compensation: $80-100K base + performance bonuses ($10K–$30K annually) based on plan development, client retention, and firm profitability.
