Do you consider yourself to be a great cook? I'm not asking about a line cook, or a saute' cook. We're looking for someone that can really cook from scratch.
Cattleack BBQ is a privately owned small business in the Addison/Farmers Branch area and we pride ourselves in making everything we serve in our restaurant from scratch. If you are creative in the kitchen and enjoy working with a small team, we could be a great match.
The position we are offering is a daytime shift, Monday-Friday and one Saturday each month. We offer great pay, paid vacation, health insurance, free lunches, bonuses, and employee discounts.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Helping with meats and managing smokers
Prepping of items for cooking sides and desserts, reading recipes, measuring of ingredients
Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
Communicate effectively with staff and customers
Qualifications and Skills Needed:
Culinary experience, baking experience is a PLUS, but not necessary
Be willing to work outside and inside a cooler without complaining
The ability to be cross trained in all areas of the kitchen and on the serving line
Be willing to perform other related duties as assigned such as cleaning and conversing with our customers
At least 1 year of cooking experience within the last 2-3 years
The ability to write and speak fluent english and follow recipes
Must have a professional appearance and a positive attitude
Must have reliable transportation
Verifiable professional references
Must be willing to pass a drug test and a background check
Our hours do fluctuate during the week so a second job is not feasible.
