Job Description OBGYN Hospitalist PositionLocation: Shakopee, MNEmployment Type: 1.0 FTE (Part-time options available)Join a dedicated team that is transforming maternal healthcare with your skills and empathy.Position OverviewWe are looking for a Board Eligible/Board Certified OBGYN physician to become part of our OBGYN team at a regional medical center in Shakopee, MN, situated just 20 miles south of the Twin Cities. In this position, you will be responsible for providing in-house obstetrical support in various areas, including the labor and delivery unit, antepartum and postpartum units, as well as triage areas. Your responsibilities will encompass:Performing emergency cesarean sections and managing spontaneous or operative vaginal deliveries.Conducting postpartum tubal ligations.Rounding on antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients, ensuring care is delivered with respect for cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal obligations.Managing overall care for patients without a designated physician and those needing emergency obstetric interventions.Basic skills in gynecologic surgery, including D&C and laparoscopy, are essential for this role.BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:Medical and dental insurance401(k) plan with company contributions and matching457(b) retirement planLife insurance and malpractice coverageContinuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursementOur clinician well-being program provides a variety of resources tailored to the specific needs of healthcare professionals, including physicians and advanced practice clinicians (APCs).
