Role : Shop Mobile Equipment MechanicLocation: Canon City, Colorado, United StatesJob Type: Full-timeExperience Level: Entry-level (0–3 years)About the RoleThe Shop Mobile Equipment Mechanic is responsible for ensuring mobile equipment is maintained in a safe and operational condition. The role includes inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy mobile equipment used in industrial operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of mobile and heavy equipmentTest mechanical systems to ensure proper performance and compliance with specificationsDiagnose faults using diagnostic tools and equipmentRepair and replace worn or damaged componentsDismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using appropriate tools and lifting equipmentConduct preventive and routine maintenance including lubrication and servicingMaintain service records and maintenance documentationRead and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematicsSupport maintenance scheduling and equipment readinessIdentify and report equipment issues that may impact operationsFollow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures at all timesPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or industrial mechanical repairAbility to read technical manuals and use diagnostic toolsBasic computer skills (email and MS Office)Strong understanding of safety procedures in industrial environmentsAdditional RequirementsAbility to perform physically demanding work including lifting, climbing, bending, and working at heightsWillingness to work assigned shifts as requiredStrong commitment to safety and teamworkMust be able to work in industrial/shop environments with required personal protective equipment (PPE)Respirator use may be required. Facial hair may need to be trimmed where it interferes with respirator seal, in accordance with safety standards.
