With a focus on innovation, Komax helps its customers achieve operational excellence. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role located in Gainesville, FL. The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software systems used in precision wire processing machinery. Daily tasks include designing software architectures, implementing code, debugging, optimizing performance, and collaborating across teams to ensure the integration of software with Komax machinery. The candidate will also participate in requirements gathering, documentation, and the enhancement of existing software systems. Qualifications Proficiency in software development, programming languages, and frameworks such as C++, Python, Java, or .NETExperience with software design, debugging, and performance optimization for embedded or machine-control systemsFamiliarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologiesKnowledge of automation systems, PLC programming, or industrial equipment integration is a plusStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teamsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldPrevious experience in manufacturing or automation industries is an advantage
