Senior Director, Associate General Counsel - Securities Regulation
ResponsibilitiesProvide specialized in‑house legal support to CME Securities Clearing (CMESC) staff and management, focusing on regulatory compliance and new regulatory developments.Lead legal and regulatory initiatives for CMESC operations, risk management, and internal governance.Draft rules, rule submissions, and related comment letters for submission to external regulators.Facilitate internal corporate review, approval processes, and coordination with CMESC staff and management.Engage with regulatory bodies on behalf of CMESC, monitoring domestic and international regulatory changes that impact the organization.Support new CMESC initiatives, including product design, implementation, and the coordination of clearing services and banking arrangements with internal legal teams and external counsel.Assist in evaluating regulatory impacts and developing strategies and responses, working with industry groups and regulators to promote effective policies.QualificationsExperience supporting SEC‑regulated clearing houses or intermediaries on clearing regulatory issues.Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.Proficiency in drafting regulations, policies, and regulatory submissions.Knowledge of both domestic and international regulatory developments affecting clearing services.CompensationCompetitive total rewards package with a pay range of $177,100–$295,100, annual target bonus opportunity, and equity program participation.Equal Opportunity StatementAs an equal‑opportunity employer, we consider all potential employees without regard to any protected characteristic.
