This role is responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise database systems that are critical to business operations and application performance.Salary Range: $105,000 – $115,000 (base)Employment Type: Full-Time/Remote with in person team bonding travelVisa Sponsorship: Not available at this timeKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain database systems to ensure stability, reliability, and high performanceCreate and implement database solutions based on business and end-user requirementsDevelop, test, and maintain Oracle database objects, including tables, views, triggers, procedures, functions, and packagesRefactor existing database objects to support system enhancements, controls, diagnostics, and research initiativesSupport and evaluate new technologies to improve or enhance current database capabilitiesPerform database performance tuning and optimization to improve application efficiencyPrepare technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for database applicationsMaintain database code and artifacts in a version control systemCollaborate with database team members, application developers, and support teamsProvide support during critical software or production issues as neededContinuously learn and apply new database development tools and techniquesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle relational database modeling, development, and shell scripting3+ years of experience with:Oracle DDL and DMLPL/SQL and SQLDatabase objects (tables, views, triggers, procedures, functions, packages)Tools such as SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, SQLclData modeling tools (e.g., SQL Modeler, ERwin, TOAD)Data extraction, Oracle Data Pump, SQL LoaderUnix/Linux environments and shell scriptingExperience using database version control tools (or equivalent systems)Strong background in database testing and performance tuningProven ability to lead or contribute to database transformation and enhancement initiativesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on technical documentationCore CompetenciesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersHigh attention to detail and commitment to data confidentialityStrong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teamsAbility to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
