At WE Soda, we strive to be the global leader in safe, sustainable, and innovative soda ash solutions, inspiring progress and creating a lasting positive impact for our industry and communities.Why Join WE Soda?Highly competitive salary commensurate with experience.Medical, Dental, Life & Disability Insurance, Vision, Flexible Spending (Medical and Dependent Care) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Pre-paid Legal, beginning first day of employment: company funds a portion of HSA contribution if eligibility is met.401(k) Savings and Investment Plan for salaried employees, the company makes Safe Harbor matching contributions (fully vested immediately) of 100% up to the first 5% of eligible pay you contribute.Tuition reimbursement programs are available to qualifying employees for approved programs.Paid time off based on years of service with potential credit given for previous work experience.Company-paid transportation available for our Wyoming-based employees to our plants from Green River, Rock Springs, and Bridger Valley.Flexible work schedule (may be available and will vary based on location and/or position).Relocation assistance may be available based on position.Position Title: Materials ManagerLocation: Green River, WYKey ResponsibilitiesWorkforce safety, leadership, and supervisionEmployee development and performance managementCoordinate area resources and staffing requirementsEnsuring employees develop the skills and capabilities to meet business needs.Communicate business information and activities to department employeesPrioritize work and projects to align with business priorities and resource constraints.ActivitiesSafety leadership and MSHA complianceSupport Responsible Care programManage daily warehouse operations across multiple locations, including receiving, storage, issuing, and material handling.Ensure standardization and alignment of processes across warehouse locationsOperational performance and efficiencyProvide support for Granger Stores utilization and ongoing operationsManage the Stores equipment fleetInterface with outside vendors to support warehouse operations, service levels, and equipment needs.Inventory management, accuracy, and controlOversee inventory replenishment strategy, ensuring appropriate governance, approvals, and master data quality in the ERP system.Lead inventory accuracy, governance, and lifecycle management, including ABC classification, cycle counting, and obsolescence mitigation.Research and resolve stores account variancesEnsure integrity, governance, and optimization of warehouse systems (ERP, inventory management systems, scanning, and automation tools)Budget and resource managementCompile, manage, and track the department budget.Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial governance related to inventory valuation and working capitalBalance Stores inventory strategy with working capital strategyDrive continuous improvement and operational accountabilityDevelop and implement warehouse strategy, including layout optimization, storage improvements, and material flow efficiencyFacilitate problem solving and improvementsEstablish, monitor, and report warehouse KPIs, driving action plans to address gapsCross-functional coordination and supportCommunicate and collaborate across department functions (e.g., Procurement, Maintenance, Operations).Skill, Capability And Educational RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 5 years of progressive warehouse, materials management, or supply chain experience in an industrial, mining, or manufacturing environmentMinimum of 2 years of leadership experience, preferably including supervision of supervisors and a union workforceBachelor's degree in business or related field, or professional certification preferredWE Soda is an equal opportunity employer.
