POSITION SUMMARYThe Unit Manager is a nurse leader who provides direction, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care for assigned area on a 24-hour basis. He/she maintains current knowledge regarding techniques, skills, current practices, and regulations for the age and populations of patients served. He/she manages all personnel, supplies, and equipment necessary to facilitate quality patient care. Also functions as a Staff RN occasionally.EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:Minimum Required:Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.Currently licensed as an RN in North Carolina.BSN required.Preferred:Minimum of 3-5 years recent clinical nursing experience.Demonstrated supervisory skills.
