Assistant ControllerOur client, a well established and growing consumer products company, with a diverse portfolio of brands and a strong presence in major US retail channels, is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Controller to join their dynamic team.The RoleThe Assistant Controller will play a crucial role in driving world-class accounting practices across multiple divisions, including licensing, retail operations, and US wholesale. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and financial future of a thriving business.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop divisional accounting teams, focusing on skills development, training, and process improvementEstablish and maintain accounting policies, processes, and systems in compliance with GAAP standardsOversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for multiple business divisionsManage monthly budget reviews, create cash flow forecasts, and support AP operationsCoordinate year-end audits and prepare necessary financial schedulesIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and streamline workflowsAnalyze financial data and provide strategic insights to improve financial performanceMaintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendorsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldCertified Public Accountant (CPA)4-7 years of experience with a Big Four accounting firmPrevious experience as an Assistant Controller for a $200M+ global consumer products companyStrong understanding of GAAP and ability to apply accounting standards to complex business transactionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrategic thinker with a solution-oriented mindsetProven ability to lead and develop diverse teamsExpert computer skills and proficiency in financial software applicationsPersonal Attributes:Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibilityAbility to manage change and thrive in a fast-paced environmentHighly driven with a 'can-do' attitudeUnwavering integrity and ethicsExcellent attention to detailWe thank all applicants for their interest - only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
