Details Work in a 19-bed private room Medical Surgical Neuro Unit Patient population spans young adults through geriatric patients, with medical, surgical, neurology, and neurosurgical diagnoses Unit is equipped with telemetry and oximetry monitoring Patient ratio is 1:6 Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Epic EMR used; experience preferred but not required Requirements Active TX or compact RN license currently in hand Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Current certifications required: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Travel nursing experience preferred Epic EMR experience preferred Additional Information Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position Restricted counties include Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted RTO is limited to no more than 3 days and is not permitted during the first week of orientation 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-684129.
