DOESchedule: Mon-Fri: 5:00am-1:30pm or 6:00am-2:30pm (times may vary based on duties/deadlines).Training schedule: Day 1 is 7:30am-3:30pmJob type: Contract - hireLocation: Alameda County, CAOverviewResponsible for ensuring product quality and compliance throughout the manufacturing and packaging process by performing inspections, monitoring production activities, and enforcing quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide quality assurance support to production lines to ensure adherence to batch instructions and proceduresConduct in-process inspections, sampling, and documentation during productionPerform line clearance to verify removal of previous materials and prevent contaminationInspect first articles, first pallets, and perform random sampling on finished goodsHalt production or shipments when significant quality or compliance issues are identifiedVerify outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and proper labelingReview and approve production labelsMonitor manufacturing and packaging processes, reporting any non-conformancesPerform AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) checks as requiredReview batch records for accuracy and completenessRe-inspect reworked or corrected products and complete deviation reports when neededMaintain inspection reports and daily quality logsCollect and manage retain samples and testing samples with proper identificationMonitor and document daily temperature logsSupport additional quality-related tasks as assignedSkills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED (preferred) with at least 2 years of relevant experienceStrong basic math skills (including percentages and rounding)Proficiency in basic computer applications, especially Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentDetail-oriented with strong accountability and ownership of tasksProfessional, positive, and cooperative attitudeINDBH
