The Registered Nurse is responsible for the well-being and care of patients. A Nurse's primary responsibilities include delivering care to patients, providing health education to patients, and working with an interdisciplinary team to create a rehabilitation plan for patients.Benefits for our Full Time Team Members:Paid sick leave401K with Matching; offerings vested fully @ 3 months of employment paired with eligibility to contributeJob Duties:Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing careDirects and/or provides professional perioperative nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuumProvides services in accordance with the plan of careInitiates the plan of care and necessary revisionsProvides those services requiring substantial specialized nursing skillsPrepares clinical and progress notes for each patient visit and summaries of care conferences on his/her patients in a timely manner as per company policySafeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautionsInforms personnel of changes in the condition and needs of the patientCounsels the patient and family/significant others in meeting nursing and related needsParticipates in and presents in-service programsUnderstands and adheres to established company policies and proceduresProcesses orders and notifies physicians of patient needs and changes in condition. Completes certification/recertification orders and discharge summariesDetermines the amount and type of nursing needed by each individual patientConducts patient care conferences on patients assigned to his/her careParticipates in peer review and performance improvement as assignedParticipates in utilization review of medical records as assignedGives total patient care as neededTakes on-call duty, nights, weekends and holidays, as neededAppropriately utilizes ICD-10 codesOther duties as assignedQualifications:Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicingMust be able to achieve CPR certification within 30 days of employmentAbility to provide excellent customer service to show superior patient careDemonstrates enthusiasm and driveAble to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to noneExudes respect and flexibility to impact the workplace in a positive mannerAbility to relate and work effectively with others; works well within a team environmentDemonstrates excellent skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care, in order to meet documentation standardsWillingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancementPrevious experience and familiarity with EMRs is preferredIs aware of standards and performs in accordance with themAble to work in a fast paced environmentStrong attention to detailPhysical Requirements:May be expected to lift up to 50 pounds or up to 150 pounds with assistance.
