Based in Indianapolis, IN, the company serves a wide range of clients with a focus on professionalism and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise pipe crews on underground utility construction projects. Plan and coordinate daily work activities to maximize safety, efficiency, and productivity. Install and oversee the installation of water mains, sanitary sewers, storm drainage systems, manholes, structures, and related utility infrastructure. Read and interpret construction plans, profiles, grades, and specifications. Verify line and grade accuracy throughout utility installation. Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment to meet project schedules. Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Ensure trenching, excavation, shoring, and confined space operations are performed safely. Communicate effectively with Superintendents, Project Managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and utility representatives. Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with project requirements. Complete daily reports, production tracking, and crew documentation. Train, mentor, and develop crew members to improve performance and promote growth. Identify field challenges and implement practical solutions to maintain project progress. QualificationsRequiredMinimum 5 years of underground utility construction experience. Minimum 2 years of supervisory or foreman experience. Proven experience installing water, sewer, and storm utility systems. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and utility profiles. Strong understanding of trench safety and excavation practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Valid driver's license. PreferredOSHA 30-Hour Certification. Competent Person Certification for Excavation and Trenching. CDL Class A or B. Experience with municipal and public infrastructure projects. Experience using GPS and grade-control technology. Physical RequirementsAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in active construction environments for extended periods. Ability to work overtime as required to meet project schedules.
