Quality Control Technician

We have enjoyed steady growth over recent years and have an opening for a Quality Control Technician to join our team. You will maintain quality standards in this position by approving in-process production cases as well as finished projects. Ensuring that they are completed as the blueprint describes. If not, you are maintaining and updating blueprints to ensure the case is built to the specifications required. Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must, as well as a keen attention to detail. Quality Control Duties and Responsibilities Approve cases and other projects by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable projects to the appropriate department Approve in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the necessary adjustments to the department lead Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests Responds to and resolves discrepancy reports from the shop floor Creates Engineering Change Requests detailing the necessary changes to released designs, updates drawings/models/BOMs as needed, and routes change requests through the approval process Writes technical documents, test procedures, installation procedures, and process documents As appropriate, participate in technical design reviews and failure investigations Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs and creating updates to projects as they arise to ensure it does not happen again in the future Coach and mentor department leads to foster leadership within each department Accomplish the organization’s mission by completing related results as needed Quality Control Requirements and Qualifications 1+ year(s) in a quality control position Demonstrates initiative, applies personal talent to practical solutions Excellent computer skills, including MS Office Ability to use a tape measure Ability to read blueprints Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain and teach methodologies Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Retirement plan Vision insurance Experience: Blueprint reading: 1 year (Required) Quality control: 1 year (Required) Precision measuring instruments: 1 year (Required) Ability to Commute: Phoenix, AZ 85043 (Required) Work Location: In person
