Job DescriptionVice President of Operations - Structural Steel & Miscellaneous MetalsA leading structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabricator is seeking a Vice President of Operations to drive performance, alignment, and execution across multiple facilities in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions (PA, VA, FL). This is a high-impact executive leadership role responsible for optimizing operations, developing teams, and ensuring consistent delivery across fabrication, project management, and field installation.As Vice President of Operations, you will oversee multi-site production and operational teams while partnering closely with executive leadership to execute strategic growth initiatives. This role is built for a results-oriented leader who thrives in complex environments and can unify teams, processes, and performance metrics across an organization.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide executive oversight of multi-site structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication operations, including Project Management and EstimatingLead and align support departments including Quality Control, Purchasing, IT, Equipment & Asset Management, and HRDrive cross-functional coordination between fabrication shops, field installation teams, and project managementDevelop and implement standardized operating procedures and best practices across all locationsMonitor production schedules, installation timelines, and resource planning to ensure on-time, on-budget project executionPartner with the President/CEO on strategic planning and organizational growth initiativesLead operational reviews and KPI tracking to identify trends, eliminate bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvementMentor, coach, and develop department leaders and high-potential talent across the organizationSupport recruiting, training, and retention strategies in collaboration with HR and leadership teamsServe as a key liaison between regional operations and corporate leadership to ensure alignment in vision, culture, and executionQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)10+ years of progressive leadership experience in structural steel, miscellaneous metals, construction, or industrial operationsProven experience leading multi-site operations and cross-functional teamsStrong leadership presence with the ability to influence, mentor, and develop teams at all levelsExceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsTechnical / Industry ExpectationsDeep understanding of structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication processes, equipment, and industry standardsStrong knowledge of project management, erection sequencing, and safety practicesExperience managing operational KPIs across safety, quality, productivity, and workforce performanceAbility to analyze performance data and implement process improvementsProficiency with ERP and scheduling systems (e.g., Microsoft Project, Tekla PowerFab preferred)Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $185,000 - $225,000 (DOE) + BonusComprehensive benefits package including:Health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time offLeadership development opportunitiesIf you're an experienced structural Structural Steel Executive looking to take on a leadership role with a respected and growing organization, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career.Send your resume to: justin.knitt@gogpac.co m
