Floating Kitchen ManagerDistrict WidePosition Summary:Seeking qualified candidates for a floating Kitchen Manager. Under direction - is responsible for the management of various cafeterias. Key responsibilities include:Planning, directing, assessing, implementing, and evaluating the breakfast and lunch program in the assigned kitchen(s) in order to meet the nutritional needs of the student population.Food production and procurement - ordering, receiving, storage, preparation, serving, and clean-up of daily menu items.Preparing all record-keeping including food production worksheets, daily reports, bank deposits, and inventory.Familiarity with computerized POS systems for meal accountability and account balances.Staff management - coordinates staff schedule and provides training; instructs employees in the proper procedures of sanitation, safety, and presentationCustomer service - respond to student and parent inquiries and maintain standards of serviceCommunication- Consistently collaborate with school staff regarding menu items, changes, and specific dietary requirements to ensure smooth food service operations.Scheduling- Plan and coordinate deliveries to all schools within the district. Maintain and update the food courier schedule to guarantee timely and efficient distribution.Operations Management- Assess and oversee the needs of each school to ensure effective food service operations. Monitor and manage inventory levels of food and supplies across the district. Receive all deliveries at the loading dock and distribute items accurately to the appropriate schools.Qualifications:ServSafe CertifiedMinimum 5 years experience with NSLP and SBPAbility to maintain a positive working environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skillsCompliance with the NJ FIRST ActSuccessful Criminal History ClearanceProof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorizationSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find acceptable.Terms of Employment:10-Month Contract, 6.5-8 Hours Daily. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any applicable and collective negotiations agreement.Compensation:In accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement, the salary range for this position is Step 0 $18.74 - Step 7 $21.25 with an added stipend of $5/ hourly.
