Accounts Receivable / Cash Posting SpecialistLocation: Edison, NJ (onsite) Position OverviewOur client is seeking an Accounts Receivable / Cash Posting Specialist to join a highvolume, fastpaced finance team. This role is responsible for accurately applying customer payments, resolving discrepancies, and supporting overall A/R operations. The ideal candidate is detailoriented, thrives in a deadlinedriven environment, and has experience handling large transaction volumes. Key ResponsibilitiesPost daily customer payments (checks, ACH, wires, credit cards) to customer accounts with speed and accuracy Apply cash against invoices, research and resolve unapplied cash, short pays, and overpayments Reconcile lockbox and bank activity to A/R subledger Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies in partnership with Collections and Customer Service Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audits and monthend close Assist with A/R aging reports and account reconciliations Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline cash application processes Handle high transaction volumes while maintaining strong accuracy standards Qualifications1-3+ years of Accounts Receivable and/or Cash Posting experience Experience working in a highvolume, fastpaced accounting environment Strong attention to detail and ability to meet daily deadlines Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and Excel Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams Preferred ExperienceLockbox processing experience High invoice volume or shared services environment Manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products industry exposure Why This RoleStable, handson A/R role with consistent transaction volume Opportunity to be part of a collaborative accounting team Exposure to endtoend cash application and reconciliation processes Pay Details: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour Search managed by: Elena Platt Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
