Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the agreement between The Board of Education and the Professional Negotiations Agreement (PNA).WORK DAY: Elementary school workday begins at 8:50 am and ends at 3:40 pm. The General Education Teacher will receive a 30-minute duty free lunch, a designated planning period.WORK YEAR: 180 workdaysSICK DAYS: 10 daysPERSONAL DAYS: 2 daysSALARY RANGE: In accordance with experience and the PNA ContractRange $49,437.00 - $66,785Requirements:Meet the Illinois State Board of Education StandardsShow evidence of Professional Educator License (PEL) valid in IllinoisJob Classification: General EducatorJob Goal:The Primary Elementary Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and academically stimulating classroom environment that fosters the intellectual, social, and emotional development of young learners. This role involves designing and implementing standards-based lesson plans, differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs, and using data to drive academic growth. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure student success while maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom culture. Additionally, the teacher will integrate technology, encourage a growth mindset, and participate in professional development to continuously enhance instructional practices.Job Duties:Provide direct instruction to general education students in all core subjects.Develop lesson plans aligned to Common Core State Standards.Plan, deliver, and evaluate instruction for students.Maintain the Teacher Gradebook.Utilize Differentiated InstructionUtilize a variety of instructional methods, strategies and interventions to maximize student growth in Literacy and Numeracy.Actively responsive with MTSS and PBIS.Continual review of student data (i.e. District Curriculum, local and State testing, etc.)Collaborate with special education teachers and administration.Attend staff and in-service meetings directed by the building administration.Maintain appropriate contact with parents to enrich student performance.Maintain the professional atmosphere of the school.Performs other duties in alignment with job classification as directed by the principal or designee.APPLICATION:Complete the application on our district website, www.sd149.org, using AppliTrack.
