This role supports the overall aesthetic and safety standards of the property while preserving the natural beauty of our island setting.Essential ResponsibilitiesMaintain lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, and plant beds across the propertyOperate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge cutters, etc.)Trim and edge sidewalks, walkways, and curbsRemove debris, fallen branches, and litter from groundsAssist with planting seasonal flowers and tropical foliageMonitor irrigation systems and report issuesSupport storm preparation and post-storm clean-upApply fertilizers and treatments per company guidelinesMaintain tools and equipment in safe working conditionFollow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelinesRATE OF PAY $21.00 per hourPOSITION REQUIREMENTSEducation: High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field is preferredExperience: Minimum 1 year experience operating landscaping equipmentRequired: Must have a valid driver's license, motor vehicle background check will be completedSKILLS AND ABILITIESMust be able to convey information and ideas clearly.This position holds multiple job functions at once, a great multitasker and detail oriented.Must show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns or issues raised by coworkers and/or guests.Teamwork is essential and critical in this role, dependable, adaptable, and have a strong work ethic.Self-motivation, visualization, creativity needed for this positionEffectively communicate with fellow crew membersWORKING CONDITIONS - PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTSPhysical StaminaPosition requires you to be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop for prolonged periods of time.Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.Must be able work in different types of weather, including high temperatures.HOURS REQUIRED 40 hours per weekMon - Fri 6:45 am - 3:15 pm, possible work requirements on some weekends and/or holidays.Timbers Company is a developer and operator of exceptional boutique hotels, residence clubs and resort communities located in some of the most sought-after destinations in the world.
