Mechanical Assembly TechnicianJoin a dynamic service equipment company that partners in the installation of service vehicle equipment. As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing company-owned and customer service vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.ResponsibilitiesDocument all work performed using appropriate software tools, including Microsoft Planner for tracking work orders from start to finish.Perform installations and repairs on service vehicles, including hitch trailers and work trucks.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Utilize personal hand tools and power tools efficiently for repair and installation tasks.Maintain a clean and organized work area while continuously seeking improvements in workflow and safety practices.Inspect components to maximize parts reuse and minimize overall repair costs.Monitor job expenses against repair estimates and notify the supervisor of any potential cost overruns.Essential SkillsProficiency in using hand tools and power tools.Experience with mechanical assembly and general labor.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Planner and Teams.Understanding of hydraulics, welding, and electrical assembly.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with motor repairs.Familiarity with diagnosing and troubleshooting hydraulic systems.Why Work Here?We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and future, including a robust 401(k) plan, profit-sharing opportunities, and comprehensive healthcare coverage. No tobacco products are allowed on site. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed shoes and safety glasses are provided, along with company uniforms. The role demands physical activity, including climbing ladders to perform installations or services on company trucks. The team is tight-knit, consisting of up to 10 employees on site, including office personnel.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harrisburg, NC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
