Medical Assistant
Preferred graduate of a medical assistant program, training as a medical assistant, phlebotomist, or military medical specialist.
*Spanish speaker a plus*
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, clinical office environment
•This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management
•Applicant should have developed interpersonal skills as there will be a lot of patient contact and interaction between staff members: ability to work well within a team is a must
*Responsibilities*
•Handle blood draws, injections, vitals, drug screens, rooming patients
•Work one-on-one with patients as a health care provider
•Monitor the flow of onboarding patients and delivering routine medical care
•Our Medical Assistant greet our patients, obtain their medical histories and verify patient information
•Prepares patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and performing all required testing
•Performs DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
In addition to Medical Assistant duties, employee will be cross trained to perform front office duties including greeting patients, obtaining authorizations, checking patients in/out, results reporting, and other related duties.
