Based in Huntsville, AL, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.Position OverviewThe Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial part of the Missile Defense System. It is an essential operational system that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to fulfill global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations worldwide and regionally, enhancing performance. C2BMC is vital for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems.The purpose of the Regional Applications Systems Engineer Coordinator is to serve as the primary software technical liaison between Regional Applications (RA) cross-functional product teams and Systems Engineering, Verification, Integration, and Test RMAs for system engineering-related efforts. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating RA efforts for software updates, end-to-end systems engineering, requirements flow analysis, verification & validation, and test event activities, providing systems engineering-focused expertise and leadership to ensure a disciplined software development approach to the definition, development, and analysis of system capabilities.Essential FunctionsThe successful candidate will have professional experience in Software Development, Systems Engineering, Verification Engineering, or related disciplinesParticipation in verification and validation planning or execution (creating test plans, managing test cases, tracking defects)Effective written and oral communication with both technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to collaborate with senior subject matter experts to create designs that enable development within applicationsThe candidate must have extensive experience leading teamsReview Support Interface Control Document (ICD), communication status, upcoming milestones, and dependenciesSupport the V&V test plans and assist in coordinating test execution across test labs and cross-functional teamsCoordinate problem reports with Solution Chiefs, conduct customer reviews, and oversee releases to identify issues and recommend future solutionsAssist with staffing activities such as reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and selecting candidatesThe successful candidate will support Solution Leadership to ensure that design documents and artifacts are completed for the Product Teams when requiredCollaborate with internal stakeholders, government, and customer representatives to support critical daily operations and distributed multi-element deliveries and activitiesBasic QualificationsPlease list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience;
