Engineering & Design ManagerCompany: System One LLCLocation: Amarillo, TX Relocation Assistance providedOverviewSystem One LLC is seeking an experienced Engineering & Design Manager to lead project execution and oversee the delivery of high-quality engineering and design work for industrial clients.This role is responsible for ensuring that all deliverables are accurate, constructible, and ready for execution in the field. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of industrial project environments and a proven ability to lead teams, drive performance, and implement scalable processes.If you have experience in refineries, chemical plants, or large industrial facilities and understand how projects are executed from design through construction, this role will align well with your background.Key ResponsibilitiesLead execution of engineering and design projects from initiation through completionEnsure all deliverables are accurate, constructible, and aligned with field conditionsDeliver projects on schedule and within budgetManage and develop a team of engineers, designers, and draftersEstablish and enforce project workflows, QA/QC processes, and engineering standardsMonitor and improve performance metrics including schedule, budget, utilization, and qualityCollaborate with leadership on hiring, staffing, and team developmentDevelop and review project scopes, estimates, and deliverables to ensure alignment with client expectationsQualifications10+ years of engineering and project management experience (industrial experience preferred)Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain within 6 monthsDemonstrated experience leading engineering and design teamsStrong execution skills with a track record of delivering resultsAbility to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectivelyExperience supporting project delivery in refinery, chemical, or industrial environmentsStrong decision-making, communication, and organizational skillsProfessional ProfileCommitted to delivering high-quality work that performs as intended in the fieldHolds self and team members accountable for performance and outcomesBrings structure, clarity, and consistency to project executionUnderstands common project challenges and proactively mitigates riskInvested in developing team members and building a strong organization System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
