Overview This client is a DE-RISKED, cash flow positive (profitable) bleeding edge, tech-forward insurance provider ushering in the next evolution of commercial insurance. They are driving the industry forward through modern technology, including ML/AI, with innovative and automated processes and a rock-star team. They aim to build a billion-dollar top-line business with fewer than 50 people, disrupting an industry clouded in outdated and manual processes. Base pay range provided by High Country Search Group: $180,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr. Your final pay will be based on skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Responsibilities / What you'll do Act as a principal "founding" engineer: help lay the foundation, touch every piece of code, and delegate as scope rapidly expands. Tackle tough engineering problems with a strong focus, primarily as an individual contributor (this role is not for a manager or aspiring manager). Qualifications Requirements Energy and passion of a principal founding engineer who wants to own foundational work and grow with the team. Strong hands-on coding capability with a preference for IC work; leadership and collaboration as needed during scaling. NICE TO HAVE Experience or interest in the Insurance industry and/or Sports Betting industry. Location HQ in the Denver area. Hybrid role with an expectation of in-office 2-3 days per week. They may consider candidates able to drive to HQ 1 day per week as the team grows. Salary / Benefits Budgeted salary range: $180K – $200K + 10% Bonus and strong equity. Benefits include Health, Dental, Vision, and 401K (no employer match). PTO is open-ended. Depending on local market demands, higher offers up to $220K may be considered.
