Lead Moving Expert (Driving Position)

Lead Moving Expert We are hiring a skilled and reliable Lead Moving Expert to lead moving crews on residential and commercial jobs. In this dual role, you will be responsible for operating company moving trucks safely and efficiently while also actively participating in all aspects of the move from packing and loading to customer service and supervision. Key Responsibilities: Drive 1626 ft box trucks to and from job sites, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations Safely load, transport, and unload household and office goods with care and professionalism Wrap, pad, disassemble, and reassemble furniture and fragile items Lead a small crew and assign tasks to ensure smooth and efficient job completion Provide excellent customer service and communication throughout the move Perform truck inspections and maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle Handle job paperwork, contracts, and mobile app updates accurately Work Environment: This is a hands-on, physically demanding job involving long hours, driving, and interacting with clients. You must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Requirements: Valid driver's license with clean driving record (CDL not required, but a plus) Minimum 1 year of experience driving box trucks (moving industry preferred) Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work long hours in a physically demanding environment Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Professional appearance and customer-first attitude Dependable and punctual with strong work ethic Preferred Skills: Experience using GPS, inventory software, or digital dispatch systems Familiarity with DOT regulations and local driving routes Ability to train and motivate new crew members Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly wage: $17-$19/hour (average associate earns $30+ per hour to include tips) Tips and bonuses for performance and customer satisfaction Paid overtime and advancement opportunities into Crew Leader or Manager roles Uniforms, equipment, and training provided
