Job DescriptionAbout the Role:The Maintenance Mechanic Lead A plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal operation and reliability of all mechanical systems within the facility. This position leads a team of maintenance mechanics, coordinating daily activities to perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on machinery and equipment. The role requires diagnosing mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Maintenance Mechanic Lead A also collaborates with other departments to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency. Ultimately, this position is responsible for maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive work environment through expert mechanical leadership and hands-on maintenance expertise.Minimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.\nProven experience in a lead or supervisory role within a maintenance team.\nStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nTechnical certification or associate degree in mechanical technology or related field.\nExperience with Computer based diagnostic software\nFamiliarity with Heavy equipment and crawler lattice boom cranes\nCertification in safety training such as OSHA or equivalent.\nExperience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.\n\nResponsibilities:\nLead and supervise a team of maintenance mechanics, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work performance.\nPerform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, heavy equipment, fleet vehicles and hydraulic systems.\nDiagnose mechanical failures and implement timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime and maintain production schedules.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, inspections, and parts inventory management.\nEnsure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team.\nCollaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and process improvements.\nTrain and mentor junior mechanics to develop their technical skills and knowledge.\nCommunicate with vendors and contractors ordering parts and troubleshooting solutions to fix mechanical systems.\n\nSkills:The required skills enable the Maintenance Mechanic Lead A to effectively troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
