Supervisor, Virtual Construction - Hydronics

Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Manager, Virtual Construction-Hydronics the Supervisor, Virtual Construction-Hydronics will provide vision, oversight, direction, and leadership to the Hydronic Virtual Construction team through shared vision and clear communication that holds everyone accountable to company goals. You will oversee all the operational aspects of your assigned Virtual Construction team and facilitate the workforce and resources needed to ensure each project is constructed safely and following design, quality, budget, and schedule requirements. The position will provide a rewarding work environment with opportunities of growth for team members and maintain an environment which will produce increased involvement, cooperation, and teamwork, Responsibilities:Lead and oversee Hydronic Virtual Construction leadership and Detailers in your assigned area to ensure standards and processes are aligned to achieve consistent predictable outputs that are in line with company goals and standardsFoster a support mentality within the group such that everything done within the Virtual Construction team is to facilitate a more efficient installation of the project at a higher level of quality than if the project hadn't utilized the Virtual Construction team.Operations - Assist direct reports with the following:Assignment of project lead positionsProper team assignment for all projectsExecution strategies for assigned projectsResolution of issues, challenges and obstaclesUnderstanding and execution of QA/QC protocolsUnderstanding and ensuring compliance to applicable Building and Mechanical codesAssist the team in the creation, modification, and alignment of standard processes to sustain "Best Practices" in the industry across all locations and regions to ensure they are aligned and have the ability to be self sufficientParticipate in regular departmental meetingsEvaluate and advise on means and methods of continuous improvement within the Virtual Construction group to increase efficiency, improve quality, and lower operating costs within the shop, field and office to lower costs and meet project goalsProvide input to Operations Manager and Sales Leadership on resource availability and project labor budgetingEvaluate and recommend modifications and enhancements to the companies BIM execution plan and SOPMonitor and advise on quality control measures to ensure high-quality output at or above industry standardsCoordinate with the Construction Technology, Engineering and Construction Operations leadership teams to identify areas of improvement to support optimal collaboration across the company to facilitate improvements in design, fabrication, and installation practices on projectsCoordinate with the Training team to develop and deploy training materials necessary to support the growth and development of the Virtual Construction teamAssist Operation Manager with departmental budget and financial planningAdvise on modifications and maintenance of submittal standards libraryAssist Regional Sales Leadership with strategic pursuitsPrepare for and attend large project pursuit interviews/presentations as neededOther tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor and/or upper managementStrategic Planning:Understand and support the strategic plan and corporate visionContinual development and implementation of processes and procedures to achieve high level quality, productivity and efficiencyIdentify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with virtual construction operations (ie: equipment procurement, personnel shortages, workstation availability, document control)Identify, advise and assist in implementation of good employee retention practices to help guard against poaching and employee discontent.Personnel Management:Adhere to and promote company policiesInstill a culture of accountability, integrity, ethics, and respect within the departmentRecruit, train, develop, and mentor leaders across the Virtual Construction Group to ensure culture, values, and standards are met consistently including succession planning to avoid any gaps in strong leadershipEvaluate and advise on the group structure and training needs to facilitate growth and expansion into new marketsCollaboration:Create and foster collaborative relationships among leadership teams across varying departments and locationsParticipate in cross-functional initiatives and projects to meet company growth objectivesWork closely with Regional Sales Leadership and other Virtual Construction Leaders on best practices and solutions to meet customer needsWork closely with field and fabrication leadership to ensure project schedules are met and operating costs are
